The Challenge: To design a studio chair for a customer using only a sheet of wood using only wood joints.

The Lesson: The most important thing I learned from this project was how to work with wood and wood grain. As wood was the only material we could use, I had learn how to use wood grain as an aesthetic quality.

The Result: I designed a studio chair using less wood than required and incorporated diagonal legs and a lazy susan.

Brilliant by design.
