Our team designed a wireless, ultrasonic water meter that was able to fit on pipes sized from .25in to 1in. Our estimated price for the product was under $40. Our final prototype was completely functional and was continued in research and usage with our sponsor, Soneter. The water meter was designed in addition to an iOS application for consumers to use when monitoring their water usage. The application required a basic business plan to be designed in order for Soneter to make a profit off their highly affordable product. This plan was implemented in the creation of user levels on the application.
Sanitation
Our team designed a portable, waterless, urine diversion toilet. The base of the toilet held a small stool that allowed the end user to mimic their natural position. The infrastructure designed create local jobs that aided in the process of converting collected waste into bio-gas for electricity and power.
Garden
The planter was designed for a futuristic office space that allowed for a rooftop or patio garden. The product is intended for two people to use in order for it to work most efficiently, encouraging cooperation and partnership. The base of the product contains a filtration system that allows water and soil to filter through.
Nursery
A new demographic and an existing brand make for a new type of challenge. See how this no-spill table came together.
Lights
Lights are one of my favorite things to design. They fit in any space, are limitless in form, their technology is updated consistently, and they influence the consumer's mood.
Appliances
Kitchen Appliances were some of the more technical products I designed in school. Breaking away from the traditional mechanics to create a new experience.
Furniture
Furniture designed for a very specific end customer. Measured to fit every need and want, from the grain in the wood to the curve in the seat.
