The Challenge: To design an office garden for 15 years in the future. This project was completed during my study abroad in Lund, Sweden.
The Lesson: The most important thing I learned from this project was how to truly complete market research. My Swedish instructor had us go through nearly 5 stages of initial research before we were allowed to begin an ideation or sketches.
The Result: I designed a garden planter that was placed on a balance board. The planter was designed for a futuristic office space that allowed for a rooftop or patio garden. The product is intended for two people to use in order for it to work most efficiently, encouraging cooperation and partnership. The base of the product contains a filtration system that allows water and soil to filter through.
