Experience UNICEF Event
As some of you know, I recently returned from an 11 day trip of a lifetime in Ireland. I cannot say enough good things about Ireland, the country, the people, the pubs, the islands... it is one of the most spectacular places I have ever been! But enough about me... I AM BACK :)
To get into the swing of things, I was honored to be invited as one of two photographers for UNICEF's most recent Atlanta event: Experience UNICEF. The name of the event says it all. UNICEF's mission is to support the world's children and Experience UNICEF brought children together from around the world in order to understand a day in the life of some of their generation in less developed countries. The day opened with arts and crafts, a water walk (illustrating how difficult it is to carry your families water supply), story time, a virtual reality experience (putting you directly in the shoes of children across the world), and educational stations. If that wasn't enough, UNICEF partnered with wonderful musicians, dancers, and teachers to create a multi-sensory experience.
I am a proud member of the UNICEF NextGen for young adults who want to get involved in their community with UNICEF efforts, and I am honored to be a second time photographer for UNICEF! To learn more about the event click here or follow them on Facebook to stay tuned with future events.
